Older camera’s still show nicely but the clarity is visible. We will have to wait for COX to update with industry in the FCC’s anticipated roll out of ATSC 3.0. Our question now is. We changed the overall rating to 5 Start based on the picture quality only. This is simply because the picture is so enjoyable and from one sitting to the next does not disappoint.we sat back with one desire: to watch a DVD or Netflix show as a reward for a hard day. We just wanted to see how good, if at all, the TV was.The apps seem to make the tv unresponsive. To be fair, I did NOT buy this TV to use apps, but thought it would be easier to give it a shot.the processing power won it for Sony. That said, there are some sacrifices I missed, but none that were a problem. the tv is not on or tuned to that device when I make an HD PVR recording (which records on component). So, $20 for a component to HDMI adapter to connect that to the back of the tv.
Netflix is another $3/mo (which I may not do, in fact might put them on hold for a while to try Hulu or something else.even though you have paid for it and it comes on your tv.This is incredibly stupid, and requires sideloads and usb or bluetooth mice, a real pain in the ass. I’d done my homework and upgraded everything in my system to 4k including the Xfinity cable box and a new Denon receiver. I have been waiting for a resolution from Sony for two weeks now.Movies still looked like movies but the contrast and detail were far beyond what I could get on my 1080P television. The blacks were very, very black and the colors much more nuanced. I did not adjust the color setting other than changing from standard to Vivid settings and the skin tones are spot on in my opinion.got to love Amazon and how they treat their customers. Second TV came in and same guys set it up for me. They plugged it in and
I find it silly that I can return the tv and repurchase it at the new price (costing them more) but they won’t credit me the difference and you can’t remove the promoted apps. Just getting to the TV settings and inputs requires you to scroll to the bottom of the screen.you must scroll thorough promoted apps before finding it buried, then launch it. The app must load from memory every time taking 20 seconds or more. reds are pushed to the point that lips glow, and red and green objects look florescent. Grass while watching a football game looked candy green. The glowing front “Sony” logo led is poorly executed and looks cheap. The power cord is non-detachable, has no ground wire. It’s absurd that each panel had defects to the point of ruining the picture. Even the Amazon support rep reported a high number of returns on the X900F due to. I think I’ve been also blessed with probably a near flawless panel. Even the STANDARD setting is stunning. Only thing that I find different . Read the following are my opinions of the Sony TV as a drop in replacement for an existing 1080p TV.
