I ordered this television and have given it a decent bit of time before deciding to review it to ensure the tv holds up. And it does. The first thing that blew me away was how big this television is! Even for a 55inch it seems bigger. The actual color pigment of blacks displayed through this TV are something you fight for in a lot of TVs and this TV gives it to you right off the bat. And once again, for the price, it’s SUPER hard to beat this. I have no devices that can output 4K, but it looks excellent. Bezel and legs are nice (the legs are exactly the width of the TV so be aware when sizing for a stand that it will be the full width of the TV.As for the sound. It works well, not super surround sound quality but it good. For the price of this 55″ TV, you can’t complain.
I can use only my Apple TV remote to control the entire setup including turning it on and off. I would definitely recommend this TV even with the bad sound.BTW tech support was very responsive when I asked about whick HDMI port to connect my XBox 1S to.I do recomend a string of ambiant lighting LEDs. I would recommend to anyone who is on a strict budget and wants a large TV. Picture is of good quality. The only thing wrong with this tv is the sound quality isn’t that great however a cheap sound bar fixed that issue quick. Gaming and movies are outstanding this tv was definitely worth every penny
The TV was used maybe 6-8x during the year i owned it, it sat in a guest room on a surge proteector so no way it could have been from a storm outage. Very disappointed in this brand. The speaker is however the worst sounding TV speaker I have ever heard. You will definitely be needing an external speaker with this.
I almost wonder why even put one in yourMy family and I are not tv watchers and use other devices for tech entertainment and we will survive with this tv just fine. Buying the warranty is a must.
This is the first day we’ve had it and if it’s this bad now, what’s going to happen in a week, month, or year? This was not a purchase I took lightly and I poured over many reviews and tv.The sound through the regular TV speakers is a little less than desirable. Too tinny but you can easily add a soundbar to the TV via an optical cable or the 3.5 mm jack on the back of the tv.What a great deal ! We hooked it right up to a computer with an inexpensive Display port to HDMI adapter and we display the computer desktop right to the screen.this TV is so light even my 10 year old kid can lift and carry it around. My old 40 inch LCD is probably twice the weight. You will need to put double sided tape on the TV feet to prevent this thing from being blown over if your house is breezy
