The difference between 1440p and 4k is expensive performance wise and the upscaling this TV provides closes that gap! I have better than 20/20 vision and the difference between 1440p and 4k is negligible on this TV with upscaling.HDR with either a QLED or OLED would be more noticeable. The Samung Q60 43in 4k TV was going for $800 then dropped to $700 on Amazon as soon as it came out a couple days ago. I only thought that was available on the more expensive modules so that was a nice surprise. The game mode on this TV is very responsive.By Tuesday I had to factory reset because the home menu had stopped responding. Okay, early days, growing pains, fine. By Thursday the TV could no longer connect to wifi, now I’m stuck hardwiring. I’ve tried all the things online, like setting DNS to 8888, but nothing has worked. Unplugging the TV then plugging it back in seems to be the only thing that works but that is absurd. I will be contacting customer service to see if I can get it serviced or if I have to send it back. Either way, I am incredibly disappointed.or add any to it that you downloaded from their abismal app store. This isn’t even close to being the worst of it.
but Samsung has impressed me with this one. I’m coming from a 10 year old non-smart TV, so this is a big upgrade from what I’m used to.. I read reviews about the flimsy stands but they’re well made and sturdy so they aren’t going to break but I don’t move my TV from place to place. .I think there’s a name for it?? Everyone thinks it’s great, but to me there’s NO cinematic feel to anything. Everything looks like a commercial or like it was shot on a 1990s Handycam. Why do people like this? I’m tell myself I’ll get over it.even though I have the TV set on a default for captions. I almost returned the TV because it was so difficult to use but I thought I will just get used go it. I have to admit this is my first “smart” TV and maybe that is just the way it is.So far only have 1 movie in 4K which looked great but idk I would imagine there’s better cuz of course there is but a 65 in Samsung 4K for 700$ to me was a great deal. No rhyme reason when or where lag comes from characters speed up slow down. Spiderman swinging under bridge in infinity war breaks up .not clear . Just spiderman. I bought this tv for the fast processor as I needed speed because I wanted to go with “streaming” tv services such as Amazon Prime,
So I was very disappointed when the problem showed up. Fortunately it’s mostly in the upper left corner, but it’s that kind of thing where once you know it’s there you can’t unsee it. This TV has a brighter picture with noticeably better contrast, and has an easier to use OSD.. I have read some reviews about airplay not working but it worked first try for me not sure if maybe they weren’t very tech savvy, I hope it lasts longer than the last one of the same brand. Good thing we had a “backup” large TV that we temporarily relocated to the family room. They are toward the right side and face to the edge. This makes the cables come up short from my previous TV connections/cable lengths and forces a hard bend in some shorter cables.Remote is poorly designed. 90% of the use is through menus, so the arrow and enter buttons should be where your fingers naturally rest when holding the unit. Instead, they have the number pad in that location.the money you can’t go wrong with this particular set so I say go for it.
