makes it so easy to connect everything up without having to take the TV off the wall. Would definitely recommend the Q90 equal to if not better than OLED and without the burn in issues. I used Netflix and Youtube test screens and test videos to check for these conditions. The increased viewing angle on this TV is awesome.with outside light during the day and indoor lights on at night, the bright picture on this TV is more practical for that environment AND has a fantastic quality and color! Highly recommended! An outstanding choice. Its been a disappointment all the way around. The repair feedback has been that Samsung quality has declined recently. The Q90R when compared to my KS8000 is quite a bit thicker and heavier. This of course in no small part is due to the direct full array 16X backlighting of this 65 inch QLED display, I think it is the control box and not the cable. I did not want to wait 10 days only to find out that it was not the cable. I cancelled the order for the TV. . I had to hire a professional TV installer and still have problems getting it to work with streaming service and external sound bar. The Ambient Mode also is a great feature that usually gets a conversation going because nobody is sure whether it’s the TV or something else.

The Ambient Mode also is a great feature that usually gets a conversation going because nobody is sure whether it’s the TV or something else. I was told by a Samsung rep that to reduce the defective banding and DSE to drop my back-light down to 5 or less. This TV goes up to 50.
My LG developed burn in from TV news tickers and logos, and more importantly, horrific vertical banding on dark backgrounds which were not pure black–it was way too distracting to watch dark scenes and I grew to loathe that TV. except for maybe the screensaver. Note that to raise/lower the volume on the remote, or change the channel, you tilt those horizontal bars up/down, based on what I read on avsforum. To me, things like these and the fact that this is brighter than any OLED make this a better all around TV than a OLED if you are anything but a purist who just watches movies.if you’re a marathon tv watcher that wants a gorgeous picture without needing to worry about burn-in, this is the one for you.The cable is also very thin and easy to hide. To me, this is major upgrade from any TV I have even owned. No wires, no messy connections, no confusion on what goes where. One thing to note is how it annoyingly starts up with the app list open and on the online TV app it comes with. Both of these are settings you can disable easily in the menu. TV interface is clean, software is sharp, I love the No Gap Wall Mount as it looks amazing on the wall. To top it off, 0 chance of burn in and, unlike LG, even if it somehow did get it Samsung covers it for 10 Years which is included in the purchase.
